“How come she wasn’t seen?” I ask and as I cut her cord too and Jo is checked over again and after it is confirmed, no more surprises. I hand our son to Jo and she coos over him when our daughter is placed in my arms.
“I would bet that this little lady was hiding behind her brother. They are both healthy and I am not concerned. So baby boy is twenty-two inches long and weighs six pounds seven ounces. And the little lady is twenty inches and weighs six pounds, three ounces.” Jo chuckles and I look at her like she has lost her marbles.
“I knew. I just had a feeling. But she was never seen on scans. Her heart must have been beating in time with his. She liked to hide. No wonder my bump was always solid and there was that much water.” Jo says just taking it all in her stride.
