I looked up.
“Alpha Jackson is still here.”
The name hit like cold water.
My jaw clenched so hard I felt teeth grind.
The memory of his arms around her—steadying her, holding her upright when she’d been knocked back—flashed behind my eyes. Green eyes staring down at her with concern. Concern that should have been mine.
My blood boiled all over again.
“What does he want?” I asked through clenched teeth.
Marco’s expression stayed careful.
“He says it’s an urgent matter he needs to report.”
I scoffed. I just couldn't help it.
“Urgent matter, yet the first thing he did when he arrived was put his hands on my wife.”
Marco’s mouth twitched—just a little.
“Jealousy looks good on you.”
“Shut up.”
He raised both hands in mock surrender.
“Bring him in,” I said through gritted teeth.
