Cassian watched Maya, who was sleeping peacefully beside him, but he couldn't fall asleep. He was nervous. Maya turned over and draped her arm across his abdomen. Cassian felt his heart race, from having her so close. In the end, he couldn't take it anymore, he got out of bed, placed a pillow on the floor, and settled down to sleep.
The next day, when Maya woke up and saw him sleeping on the floor, she gently shook his shoulder to wake him and asked, "What are you doing sleeping on the floor? Don't tell me you fell out of bed."
"Of course not, it's just that the bed wasn't comfortable."
"And the floor was more comfortable?"
Cassian stood up and replied, "Yes, it's better for the back."
"If you insist."
Cassian brushed off his clothes and said, "I'll go order breakfast for us."
