I was nervous. Sandy texted me and said she had everything ready. There was the spinach and artichoke dip and baguettes I had provided for a snack. But Sandy texted me to say she was craving cheese and chocolate, so she went out and bought a damn fondue set and a small chocolate fountain. She also got everything that was needed for dipping. I heartily approved.
A knock at my office door had the three guards in my office sitting on my couch and in my chairs, looking towards it. All three tensed.
“You can relax, I doubt whoever is threatening me will come through the door. It’s probably just my secretary or assistant. Alexi would have just walked in. Come in,” I called out.
