She was f*cking radiant. She glowed in a space where everyone else was dull. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her. She smiled, and interacted like she was born to it, and she was so d*mn smart. She belonged in my world with her beauty and intellect. How she never went to college I do not know. Her father really did her a disservice.
I watched as the Mayor approached us with his wife on his arm. She had kind eyes and had a pretty smile. She was also twenty years younger than he was, not that I had room to talk, being fourteen years older than Sierra.
The Mayor was re-running for office and I knew he was looking for investors in his campaign. I had no problem with the man, we’ve worked together a few times. He also looks the other way on my more darker side of business.
