“I can’t believe you didn’t let me know that she was such a badass, Marnie. Not to mention the exact stipulations of their contract marriage. There’s no way you didn’t know. I listened to everything she was talking about at the boutique. Do you know how hard it is for me to watch her and listen to her, knowing she has some part in you being here? I honestly want to reach out and snap her neck.”
I couldn’t help but rant at Marnie. I visit her three days a week. She used to just stare off into space and not interact with me at all, but now she lets me feed her jello. Sometimes I see a flicker in her eyes, but it’s gone in an instant. Maybe I should ask them to cut back on her meds.
