We tried opening presents again. I was overwhelmed with all the love shown to me. I felt bad that I didn’t have anything for Cesare and Luna.

I hugged her because she was the mom I wish I had. And now that she was going to be my mother-in-law, I felt very lucky.
I opened the gifts from them first. The first one was a beautiful white silk scarf, with pink and peach flowers. The second gift was a platinum card with my name on it, not Anthony’s.
