Chapter Thirty Three The Gilded Horizon The private island was a speck of emerald in a sea of sapphire. We arrived by helicopter two days after the wedding. Alexander sat across from me with Chase on his lap. The boy was pointing at the turquoise water and the white sand that looked like sugar. Alexander was explaining the geography of the Caribbean as if he were teaching a king about his domain.
