(Cassian)
Father had started giving me more work again, but I knew better than to believe things between us were improving. He wanted me occupied with training reports, patrol assignments, and meetings that normally took only part of my day. I completed everything without arguing because it gave me access to information I had been kept away from. Every document that crossed my hands gave me another place to look.
I waited until I was alone in the office used for heir duties before opening the older trade records. Most of them had nothing to do with Silvercrest. I found agreements between Blackridge and neighboring packs going back more than twenty years. I kept reading until one name caught my attention.
Silvercrest.
The document was dated several months before the m******e. Silvercres
