Selene arrived at Blackridge with her father before noon. I saw their carriage from the training grounds and knew why they were here. Father had been speaking with Alpha Roderick since before Kiara left. I had hoped the rejection would end whatever plans they had made for us.
Ronan didn't like seeing Selene here either. He knew she wasn't responsible for father's choices, so his anger wasn't directed at her. He wanted Nyra, and no agreement between two Alphas would change that. I felt the same way about Kiara.
