I opened the folder and found a formal notice bearing the Blackridge council seal. My name appeared at the top, followed by several accusations concerning my conduct as Alpha heir. According to the document, I had interfered with an official security assignment and contacted patrol officers without authorization. The final paragraph requested a review of my position.
"You're accusing me of interfering with pack security?" I asked. "I haven't ordered anyone to abandon their duties. Asking questions about Darius doesn't interfere with his assignment. Unless there's something about that assignment you don't want me to discover."
