Avery’s POV
“Oh, you came for the delivery schedules?” The driver in front of me wrung his hat between his hands and looked embarrassed, “My apologies, Luna, I have already passed those reports along to the Alpha.”
“Gideon came for the schedules himself?” I asked, surprised.
“No, Luna,” the man shuffled his feet, “His mate did.”
I gritted my teeth in irritation, but it wasn’t this man’s fault. I thanked him and let him get back to loading the produce we’d grown in my garden into his truck.
This was the third time this week that I had gone to perform my Luna duties and discovered that Dierdra had beaten me to it.
Her angle was obvious.
She was seeking to supplant me.
It would be one sort of escape, I suppose.
