Avery’s POV Being stuck in the car with Gideon was very similar to being stuck in a cage with a tiger. Every move I made drew his attention. Every time I looked at him, he was staring at me with that predator’s gaze. I am sure, had there been room, he would have prowled in circles. Being alone with him was raising my blood pressure.
