Watt POV
I walked through the front door of the apartment I shared with Mercy, feeling relieved that I got home from work earlier than usual because the traffic wasn’t as bad as it normally is.
I kicked off my shoes by the door and threw my keys on the small table there, taking a deep breath and noticing right away that the air smelled like her vanilla candle, but mixed with something else, something thick and musky like sweat and s*x that hit me before I even turned the corner.
My heart started pounding a little harder as I heard these steady thumping sounds coming from the living room, along with low moans and the clear slap of skin against skin that made me stop dead in my tracks. What is going on in there?
It sounds exactly like people f*****g, but that can’t be right,
