Heidi was in a deep healing sleep. They took her for scans to check her lungs and luckily everything was clear. When we first got to the hospital, I wasn’t allowed to go back with her while they checked her over and took her for the scans. I was told to wait in the waiting room. While I waited, my mom and dad came with clean clothes for me, and they stopped at a little bistro and bought chicken noodle and tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. My dad asked if there was some place where I could take a quick shower. The nurse took pity on me and let me use a shower that was in an unused room.
