Dane and I pulled up to the Pump and Go to fill our bikes for our return trip. I was surprised how fast we got here. Normally a ten-hour trip, we got here in nine. I wasn’t sure if my girl was working this afternoon. But it didn't matter, I’d find her in this small town and take her back home. We weren’t resting until I got her back to the clubhouse.
Dane and I left at five this morning. We only stopped to fill up and kept going. I knew both of us were starving. It was two-thirty, and once I got my girl we’d hall a*s out of town and find us a nice sit-down restaurant that they didn’t really have in this rinky dink town.
I left my brother with our bikes and stepped into the small convenience store. A man of about thirty was behind the counter. He eyed me.
