She met Gladice and Maddie down by the lake two days later. She’d been informed by Brax that they had arrived and were waiting for the ferry to pick them up. She’d smiled and told him she’d go down there and greet them herself.
She’d been getting ready for afternoon training at the time and had used their arrival to take the opportunity to go for a run down along the winding path from the packhouse to the lake itself. The run down there and back was good for them, and for the most part, kept one in the shade.
