He cut his thumb and pressed it to the sealed lock of that first chest and waited to see what would happen. It had been such a very long time, but it only took a few seconds for the blood to be drawn into the seal itself, sucked in as if it was a sponge absorbing it. And then a soft bluish haze surrounded the chest before it just evaporated away to nothing at all, and the lock on the chest clicked open and lifted up by itself to show that it was now open.
He stared at it for a very long time before reaching out and lifting the lid all the way up. Inside it were other boxes, all neatly stacked in there one atop of the other. He pulled them all out one by one and opened them to see what they contained.
They were some of the Bear Kingdoms crown jewels; there was a full crown in there
