Debbie Rain’s amber eyes were fixed on mine. He looked like he was in a trance, his chest rising and falling in heavy, jagged heaves. He gripped my thighs, his fingers digging into my skin. The heat coming off him was like standing next to an oven. It was intoxicating. “Sorry, honey,” he rasped.
