Macy’s chest rose and fell quickly, her breath catching in her throat as she stared down Annette. The crowd around them had thinned slightly, but the tension had not. If anything, it had grown thicker. Annette stood still, not blinking, her arms crossed. Malice was evident on her face. “You think this is over?” she growled, voice low and dangerous. It was clear she was itching for a fight. “I think you’ve made enough of a scene,” Macy replied curtly, holding her coat tighter. Annette let out a sharp laugh. “Of course you would say that.” She said snarkily, eying Macy. “You lie your way into everything.” “I have not lied about a damn thing,” Macy snapped, a scowl on her face. “Oh? Just like you did not lie when you acted like you did not know whose coat it was?” Annette stepped closer
