Cinda was up long before Gabe was likely going to be punished for that, and she had gotten out of their bed before he was awake. She knew he’d had trouble going to sleep, because she couldn’t lye still. Had dozed off somewhere during the night but then woken around 5am, slipped from the bed and went downstairs to prowl around down there, instead of going back to tossing and turning in bed with him. Gabe had to get up and go to work. She did not. Had found herself in front of those pin boards in her office on more than one occasion, staring at the dining room. Looking at the actual house, the before picture she had taken, from the street, a full view of the Mason house, sat on the top middle of the first pin board. Her own family had owned it once.
