My parents didn’t call me much.
The incident with Brandon ruined my relationship with everyone, including them. The only person I went out of my way to see and speak with was my sister.
My parents didn’t know much about my life after I left LA. All they knew was that I was alive. They didn’t know that I left LA while I was pregnant. They didn’t know exactly where I lived. I didn’t tell them because I didn’t trust them enough to not tell Brandon and his family. They didn’t know I started up a business. They also didn’t know that I was raising two kids all by myself.
My mother and I spoke very rarely because she didn’t like the choice I made to leave everything and start afresh, which was why I was quite surprised when she called me the day after I met Bailey.
