"I think I can walk now." I told Elijah after he'd carried me around for nearly an hour. In any case, I didn’t feel weak anymore, it was the voices I couldn't seem to silence that gave me a whiplash.
"can't put you down, princess. The thought of it scares the hell out of me." Elijah said firmly.
"No, for real. It's not so bad anymore."

I sighed, but I didn't say anything else. In any case, maybe being carried wasn't the worst possible thing. Especially with those tiny whispers I couldn't seem to quiet.
