The moment Hunter called Sadie to the stand; the judge decided on another recess, only this time for lunch. This threw Hunter off for about a millisecond, and he was about to question the judge. However, he decided against that when he saw Judge Trainor giving him the side-eye that told him not to press his luck.
Hunter looked over at Annika, who was also baffled by the sudden recess. When her eyes met him, all he did was a nod to her and told her to just hold on a little while longer. It had been a couple of hours since court started, and it seemed that Jeff’s indifference to everything really put Judge Trainor in a mood.
