After Annika was confronted by her family, her brain was reduced to scrambled eggs once more, and she did her best to control the mounting feeling of hysteria that plagued her mind like an unwanted visitor. She had barely processed the bomb Leon had dropped on her before she was bombarded with the onslaught of messages from her family demanding answers. Upon returning to the hotel, Annika tried every means necessary to avoid the inevitable—calling her father and explaining her new relationship with Leon.
