I stood there, protectively in front of the women, the women that Thomas thought I was helping escape the pack, so Thomas walked closer to me. A smug smile on his face, thinking I was more vulnerable right now.
“Did you really think you could fool me?” He asked.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about?” I asked. So he looked up at me with a wider smile on her face and he snapped his fingers.
Several of his men then walked out from behind that boulder with Daniel and my other warriors in their custody.
“They weren’t exactly blending into the shadows,” Thomas remarked, a hint of irritation creeping into his voice. “I thought he was your new head warrior. He’s not impressive at all.”
