“Aries, port authorities just arrived at the pier. Once they realize there’s no leak, they’ll clear the boat and let them leave. We have to hurry,” Fury said, his eyes glued to the live camera feed. The graininess of the CCTV couldn't hide the flashing amber lights of the official vehicles pulling into the cannery lot.
“Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, we’re still twenty minutes away!” Aries growled, pushing the rental car’s engine to a mechanical scream. The distance felt like an ocean.
“Where’s a witch when you need one?” Jax muttered, her voice riddled with anxiety. Speed was no longer enough; they needed a miracle or a massive distraction.
