“Paxton, given a chance to bear an alternate punishment, are you willing to do it? More specifically, can you let go of your obsession with Cara?” I asked. I am not going to candy-coat it. Anton assured me Paxton was not going to come after her again. I will also have to get him to check on Rex’s thoughts on the matter. I wouldn’t have given Paxton the option to allow him to live if he hadn’t had a serious change of heart.
