Clay’s POV
Earlier that morning
I knew we had a traitor in our midst. I suspected who it was last night. I planned to catch him before we even left our hideaway to take care of business. I was going to make sure that we lost at least one member of our group today, as he could no longer be trusted. I will be leaving him behind today. The warriors at Black Adder will kill him once they find him near the perimeter wall. That way, his blood will be on their hands, not mine.
He deserves to die for crossing me. Now, we have to speed everything else up. I gave him the incorrect time for our attack, and when he left to go on a walk, I had Henry follow him. Henry is very good at staying invisible and tracking someone. He overheard Tom telling someone exactly when we were attacking.
