One month later
Luna just gave birth a week ago. I can tell that Cara was still frustrated at how long her pregnancy took. I couldn’t blame her; it wasn’t fair, but I am not complaining. All it means is I will have even more time with Cara before our baby arrives.
Don’t get me wrong. I am really looking forward to our baby's arrival. It will give me something I have wished for for centuries—something I never thought would come true—children of my own. I love our baby already, but getting a few more months to spend time alone with Cara is priceless. We won’t be able to get this time back, as it is the honeymoon phase. I didn't have the heart to tell her that her pregnancy could have been longer. She would never have liked to have heard that.
