Amy walked carefully through the rose garden after finding a note on her bed with a rose, she smiled slightly feeling appreciated by Kael, the moonlight casting soft shadows on the path. Her robe brushed against the petals of the bushes as she approached the clearing, where a table was set for two. Candles flickered in the gentle breeze, and the scent of roses mixed with the aroma of fresh, warm food. Her heart thumped softly, a mix of fatigue and curiosity.
Kael wasn’t home yet, so her first thought was that this was a gesture from him—a quiet apology for the tension earlier. She approached the table, her fingers brushing the neatly folded note resting beside the silverware. She unfolded it carefully.
