Amy’s POV Kael and I left the restaurant as fast as we could without drawing attention. The moment we stepped outside, the cold air felt sharp against my skin, like the night itself was warning me that something was about to go wrong. Kael unlocked the car and opened my door, his movements tense, controlled. He didn’t have to say it—he was on high alert, just like me. I slid into the seat and buckled my belt immediately.
