Elara was waiting by the window. It was all she did for the last few hours.
What if Arthur didn’t come back? She had tried to warn him, to be careful. After all, it was Harden that they were dealing with. He was known to pull tricks and to play dirty. Didn’t he pull a wool over Arthur’s eyes, using a decoy to fool him?
She knew Harden was devious. She could only pray for Arthur’s return. Pray and hope in her heart that her husband and mate would return to her in one piece.
