The nurse watching over Elara told Damien to leave and that she would try to get Elara to calm down by turning on her favorite show, which happened to be Wheel of Fortune.
Before turning away to leave, Damien handed the rock he had found in Yosemite and handed it to the nurse, instructing her to tell Elara it was a gift from him when she was feeling better.
As the TV blared behind him, Damien told himself that Elara must be going through a phase and that it mustn’t be anything serious. After all, Arthur had passed away just weeks again and they were mates for years. It was bound to leave some sort of mark.
