R O S A L I E It has been a week of working in the hospital, and I was easily falling into my daily routine. Checking on patients, doing their physicals and having lunch with my colleagues. I haven’t had any major crisis in the ER, thankfully. That could only mean people were doing a wonderful job not getting sick, or in getting their lives saved. Either way, I was happy. Working here was the best decision I'd ever made. It was comforting in a way, working with all these skilled and capable staff, all with the aim to care for others. It was like finally fulfilling a purpose for once in my life. It was a breath of fresh air from having to obey everyone around me. Behaving was one thing, but always trying to meet certain standards and expectations was beyond difficult. And even more
