When I had eaten something and Miguel was ready, the three of us went to the warehouse. Miguel may not have followed in dad's footsteps, but he jumps in where we need him. He is trained, and he knows how to handle dad's devil juice too. I was surprised when I heard that so did Riley and mom. The only one that doesn't get involved is Zia. Don't get me wrong, she is a badass herself, and she is very supportive. She just doesn't like this side of things. And that's okay. Not everyone needs to be tainted by death and torture.
It's never a pretty sight, but when the people you care about need your help, you become the monster they need. I know dad wishes that we never had to witness this side of things, that is why he worked so hard to keep us safe and innocent. But we chose to help him
