I looked over at Trish, and she hadn’t moved at all since I put her on the bed. I hear my mom call an ambulance, and say she might be pregnant, or it could be food poisoning, but I don’t say anything. We were waiting until after the consultation with the specialist to tell my mom. Now I feel like s**t, because she is probably getting her hopes up.
She runs out of the room, still on the phone, and I go to the bathroom. I wet a cloth and went back to wipe Trish’s face.
