This mission was a f**k up from the get-go. We should never have taken it in the first place. We do not get involved in political affairs, but this was a favor to a friend of our Colonel. I knew Mustafah was sketchy the minute I laid eyes on him. But the Commander assured us he was the only person that could get us in.
Thank God all the guys on my team are good men, and they are very humble. If we hadn't treated Mustafah’s mother like the queen of their home, she would never have helped us. We owe her our lives. No one there knows that she is the one that snitched. But we still offered her asylum, which she gladly accepted. She lives very close to the terrorist cell, and it's not safe for her anyway. At least she has family here, so she won't be alone.
