"What?" I arched a brow at Jade.
Instead of letting me inside Elaine's apartment when I knocked, she'd slipped out, given me a once over, looked impressed at what she saw, then pretended not to see anything, before folding her arms and glaring at me.
"This changes nothing, Grayson Frost," she said, narrowing her eyes.
"I didn't expect it to." I leveled her with a stare.
My answer seemed to catch her off guard. After letting me take Elaine that night, there'd been an unspoken understanding between us that she'd make me suffer if I hurt Elaine again. Thankfully for her, I had no intentions of doing that.
"Good." She shot me an intimidating look, which was quite laughable considering how much smaller she was than me.
Still, I nodded. I had so much to be grateful for with Jade
