Grayson "You don't scare me, Frost!" the figure before me sneered. I would have been amused by his misplaced bravery, but this was about Elaine. And the story this i***t thought he could run without consequence. And I was still pissed off—for miscalculating. Everything. Elaine. Again. Her and Asher... was that possible? I shoved the damned thought away and focused on the excuse of a CEO who'd thought his paper's success would be sky rocketing by now. "You can't just kidnap people—what do you think this is, a freaking mob flick?!" The person yelled. I watched. Quietly. Waiting. It had been a while since I'd tasted what was coming. Fear. The pattern was always the same. Bravado. Realization. Then fear. The man shifted in his seat, sweat breaking out on his bushy brow. Good.
