His words dripped with satisfaction, making my face burn hot enough to rival the sun.
Before I could stammer out a response, he pulled back and clicked his seatbelt into place. His fingers curled around the steering wheel, and the engine purred to life as we merged into traffic.
Suddenly it hit me—this show-off was perfectly timing the traffic lights while making out with me!

I shot him an annoyed glare before turning to stare out the window, determined to ignore his smug face for the rest of the drive.
