  A few days later, Franklin found himself sitting on a wide picnic mat beneath the open sky, watching Tristan chase Rose across the grass while Frederick and Sienna's friends gathered around them in what everyone insisted on calling a picnic, even though it felt more like an awkward reunion disguised by kids and takeaway containers.
