Aurora's POV
The morning sun streamed through my window, casting a warm glow across my room. I stretched lazily, a smile tugging at my lips as I realized what day it was. Today marked the beginning of my new job, my first step towards true independence in the Nightshade Pack.
As I got ready, my mind wandered back to the conversation I'd had with Ethan a few days ago. He had called me to his office, his expression a mix of excitement and nervousness.
"Aurora," he said, "I have a proposition for you. There's an opening in the pack's administrative office. It's a good position with room for growth, and I'd like to offer it to you."
I'd been taken aback by his offer, touched by his thoughtfulness, but also wary of accepting too much from him. "Ethan, that's incredibly kind of you, but..."
