Theo’s POV
It's been four weeks since I watched her drive away. One month down. Two more months to go.
I haven't slept a full night since she left. Every time I close my eyes, my wolf starts pacing wildly in my mind, crying out for our missing mate.
The empty space on the other side of my bed feels dark hole.
I wanted to leave this place and follow her to the Shadowed Peaks. But I couldn't.
I stayed behind because I knew a storm was coming. I knew my father's loyal men were hiding in the shadows, waiting for a chance to strike. If I left the territory then I would have given them the chance.
l had to stay. I had to secure my place so Selena and my pups would have a safe, peaceful place to come back to.
And I can tell that she's starting to feel uneasy about the distance between us
