Selena’s POV
The drive through the dark forest was very quiet. Snow fell softly outside the windows of Theo’s truck and l rested my head against the passenger window and watched the dark pine trees pass by.
Beside me, Theo kept his eyes on the road. He drove carefully, making sure the truck didn't hit any deep bumps that might hurt my broken ribs.
Soon, a small clearing appeared in the trees.
Sitting in the middle of the white snow was the old wooden cabin. It looked exactly the same as it did eight years ago. It had a dark wooden porch, a sloping roof covered in thick snow, and a large stone chimney.
It was far away from the noisy pack house, far away from the heavy burdens of being Alpha and Luna.
Here, in this small space, we were just Theo and Selena.
