JUSTIN’S POV I never thought I’d see the day I’d actually ask Black why he’s not taking my money. Guess some things really do come out of nowhere. “Wait…are you serious?” I ask, watching him frown, and trying to figure out what the hell happened to him. He lifts his gaze, his nostrils flaring. “You want me to say it again?” For some reason, I can tell whatever happened is serious, and Black is handling it like… well, like he has no clue what to do.
