ALLISON'S POV
“What’s going on between you two?” Mom asks, her eyes darting between me and Justin like she’s trying to read our minds.
I roll my eyes and cross my arms, leaning back in my seat. “I can’t believe this.”
She widens her eyes at me like I’m overreacting, but really, am I? She literally left the guy she was with in the garage just to drag us to this coffee shop. For a hot second, I thought maybe she wanted to treat us to coffee or actually talk to me, but nope. She’s just here to interrogate us because we admitted to being alone.
“Justin, and you?” She asks like she’s talking to a toddler. “Why are you and Allie hanging out alone? I know I sound old school, but…you were holding hands and I don’t remember you two being that close.” She lifts her brows. “Care to explain?”
