She flops onto my bed with a dramatic groan. “Not you too,” she mutters, folding her arms. “You and Katy are literally the same.” I drop my gym bag by the closet and rifle through my drawer for the spare key. Once I find it, I take her hand, and gently pry her fingers open, placing the key in her palm. “This is a spare for whenever you want to come here,” I tell her. “Don’t wait outside like that.” She looks down at it, then back up at me, her eyes lighting up. “Can I come anytime?” Knowing Allison, anytime could mean midnight when most people are asleep.
