“I was going to congratulate you on your performance,” she says sweetly. “But I guess I’m the villain tonight.” Her eyes flick to Justin and she forces a smile. “You shouldn’t always believe everything people say about me. You can always ask me directly.” Then she loops her arm through Aaron’s. He stiffens for a split second before masking it, probably trying not to embarrass her. “Let’s go,” she says lightly, already pulling him along. Aaron gives me a small salute before they disappear down the hallway. I roll my eyes, my lips twisting as I watch them go or mostly just Celeste. There is genuinely no clue on earth that explains why she hates me this much. At this point, I don’t even know if it’s about the play, Justin, or just her personality, but one thing’s for sure: I’m not leaving
