Lynn's POV I wake up warm. That's the first thing — not the stone, not the cave, but how warm it is. Logan is at my back, arm still across my waist, and the fire has been out for hours but the stone absorbed all that heat through the night and is releasing it slowly, steadily. Between that and him I've slept through to morning without once waking up. Birds outside. Low light through the cave entrance. I don't move. He doesn't either. "Morning," he says eventually, voice rough with sleep. "Morning." We lie there a while longer, just listening. There's no reason to get up yet. So we don't.
